According to various sources on the net the UFC have offered Randy Couture the opportunity to face Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira in defence of his Heavyweight Title, Couture resigned from the UFC earlier in the month, for financial and contractual reasons but is still under contract according to the UFC. Dana White UFC President said that due to the current climate between Couture and the UFC, if Couture was to reject the the title would be offered up to the number one and two contenders. "We officially offered it to him and we haven't heard back yet.....We should know this week.....(couture) texted me yesterday and said he wants to sit down and talk with me.......Randy’s going to make a decision one way or the other.........We’re going to meet and talk and see where we’re at." said UFC President Dana White.              |
