It is being reported that following K-1's "Battle at the Bellagio" event on 11/08/07, both Rickard Nordstrand and Zabit Samedov have tested positive for steroids.
"Norstrand’s urinalysis registered the presence of Boldenone metabolite and an elevated testosterone/epitestosterone (T/E) ratio indicative of drug use, while Samedov tested positive for Stanzolol metabolite, according to the NSAC. The NSAC tests for a T/E ratio of 6 - Nordstrand’s T/E ratio read at 21.5."
Both fighters have 45 days to respond to the allegations when they will both attend a hearing in front of the Nevada State Athletic Commission.

The California State Athletic Commission has announced that both Rocye Gracie's A and B samples have tested positive for Nandrolone, Gracie s samples were nearly 10 times what the Commission would have expected of a normal fighter having 50 ng/ml when it would have been expected that a level of 6 ng/ml be present in an ordinary fighter, CSAC were informed that:
"the level itself was so elevated that it would not register on the laboratory's calibrator."
Gracie still claims his innocence and is planning to appeal the findings. Be first to comment this article | Quote this article on your site | Views: 178 |
